In Spring 2023, American Society for Microbiology (ASM) student chapter was initiated at MSUM. The current board members are:

- Vice-President – Hadiya Farrahmand, Sophomore, MSUM
- Secretary – Jayden Taylor, Sophomore, MSUM
- Treasurer – Brooke Haverland, Sophomore, MSUM
- Faculty advisor – Sumali Pandey, Associate Professor, MSUM.
